Travis County Clerk Digital Archives
The Travis County Clerk Digital Archives contains records of permanent or historical value that have been preserved by the Travis County (TX) Clerk’s Office since the office was established in 1840. As the county recorder and clerk of the Travis County Courts at Law, the County Clerk’s Office is responsible for permanently maintaining a wide variety of records, including Travis County Commissioners Court minutes, deeds and other real property records, marriage licenses, election returns, and minutes of criminal, civil, and probate courts. During some periods of history, the office has also recorded birth, death, naturalization, and voter registration records.
Additional records are always being added to the Digital Archives, and the County Clerk’s Office holds many more records in paper, microfilm, and digital format beyond what is available here. If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the Archives, please refer to the “OTHER RESOURCES” and “COMING SOON” tabs at the top of this page, or contact us directly at [email protected].
NOTE: Book files are large and may take several minutes to load.
The digitized historic ledger books on this site are available thanks to a partnership with the Travis County Archives, whose team has scanned over 1,350 County Clerk ledger books since 2015.
