Travis County Archives
Information and finding aids for Travis County records collections. Many print editions of historical books and papers can be found in the county archives.

Travis County Digital Archives
Travis County Archives digital collections, including historic records from the County Clerk,   District Clerk, Surveyor, Justice of the Peace, Travis County Extension Service Reports,                          Facilities Management and Historical Commission.  Also features maps, photographs, media and                ephemera from Travis County.

Texas State Library and Archives Commission
Preserves the archival record of Texas, including local governments, supports research, and makes primary resources available to the public.

Texas Digital ArchiveManages, preserves, and facilitates access to the electronic records collections of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, including those transferred by state agencies or digitized by the State Archives.

Austin History Center
Local history division of the Austin Public Library.  Provides information about the history, current events, and activities of Austin and Travis County. Includes information about local governments, businesses, residents, institutions, newspapers, and neighborhoods.

George Washington Carver Genealogy Center
An extension of the Carver Museum and Cultural Center at the Austin Public library, they provide access to genealogical information such as databases, books, instructive material and monthly seminars, with a focus on African American genealogy.  Although the center is set up as a self-guided experience, it will provide limited genealogical assistance.

Portal to Texas History
Large digital collection featuring rare, historical, and primary source materials from or about Texas, including local government records and genealogical resources. Created and maintained by the University of North Texas Libraries.  Many historic Travis County Clerk Records that will eventually be available on this site are currently available on the Portal. Also includes records from the Travis County District Clerk’s Office and the Travis County Historical Commission.
